Elizabeth Sharpe joined Flyingbow Ministry in 2008 as Chair of the Board of Directors and in 2015 passed on the baton to the new Chairperson, Bryan Huck. Elizabeth’s many years in the management of non-profit associations and charities prepared her for her work in helping to establish the corporate entities of many non-profit clients and to assist in establishing Board governance models for organizations across North America in keeping with appropriate standards and guidelines.
As Co-Owner of The Association Management Company in Guelph, Ontario, Elizabeth currently offers leadership and management consulting support to non-profit associations, societies and charities throughout North America in the areas of mentoring, coaching, board governance direction, education and training. As well, she is the part-time Executive Director for the Canadian Association for Child and Play Therapy and leads teams that provide mental health workers with training in child psychotherapy and play therapy across Canada. She continues to be very engaged in non-profit program design and development, training, product promotion/ sponsorship development and certification program management.
While in Ottawa, Elizabeth was honoured to receive the City of Ottawa-Carleton Women of Distinction Award for Business, Professions and Trades, the Ottawa-Carleton Consumers’ Choice Award, Business Woman of the Year 2000 and was presented with the Queen’s Golden Jubilee Medal for her work with a national industry association. Elizabeth draws on her faith-based studies and reliance on our Lord for guidance on a daily basis.
