Melissa Wilson
Melissa Wilson is the newest member of the Flyingbow team and has joined as an Administrative Coordinator. She is originally from Kitchener, Ontario, where she studied Music at Wilfrid Laurier University, and is now living in Port Perry with her new husband. She is currently studying Philanthropy and Non-Profit Leadership as a Masters student at Carleton University (MPNL).
Melissa has been a follower of Christ since she was very young and her passion for people and music was quick to follow. With a passion for music and sharing the gospel, Melissa has had the opportunity to serve in different ways using the gifts God has given her. Her involvement with on campus ministry through Power to Change over her four years of undergraduate studies encouraged her to spend the year after she graduated serving the Lord through mission in the Middle East. As an English and Music teacher at a Syrian Refugee Education Center, she was able to be a light to the children and their families in her community and was involved in her local church through worship and discipleship.
After her time serving in the Middle East, her passion for supporting ministry work only grew and she is now pursuing an MPNL to become better equipped to serve the greater Christian Ministry community in Canada and abroad. She looks forward to seeing how the Lord continues to grow this ministry in the coming year.
